Ask how-to vs do it for me
Purpose
- Choose whether chat does the job (a wizard or a figure from your books) or only explains (the user manual).
- Mixing the two is why a form never appears, or why a tutorial turns into a document.
Menu path
- AI Agents. Both behaviours use the same message box. See How to ask.
Assistant
- This chapter is how chat chooses. There is no separate menu item.
Before you start
- You know the outcome you want: a saved document, a number from this company, or steps to read.
- You are in the correct company before a wizard or an ask-the-books question. See Screen vs KinraSoft Assistant.
Do it for me
- Tap a task chip, or type an action: Create company, Bill a customer, Record a supplier bill, Submit e-Invoice, Month-end close.
- Stay in the wizard until you Save / YES or Cancel.
- Check the listing named in that document’s chapter. See Create transactions by chat.
- Words that start work: create, record, issue, post, add, edit, update, pay, bill, submit.
- Who owes me, Profit this month, Can I pay this — a figure from saved transactions. See Ask the books.
- Submit e-Invoice, Check e-Invoice status, Submit consolidated e-Invoice — a wizard on documents already in the company. See Submit and check status and Consolidated e-Invoice.
- Create company, Edit company, Add customer, Edit supplier e invoice, Add stock — a master-data form. See Create and edit a company, Customers, and Suppliers.
- Month end, Year end close — the close checklist. See Month-end close and Year-end closing.
- How to create a company and how to bill a customer still start the wizard, because the sentence names a document or a company profile to create, record, issue, or post.
Ask how to
- Start with how do I, how to, where is, what does this button do, step by step, or tutorial.
- Read the numbered steps. Chat looks at the simplified steps in the manual first.
- Do the steps yourself on the side menu. The reply does not post.
- How do I set up e-Invoice? explains the screens. See e-Invoice in KinraSoft. Submit e-Invoice sends documents.
- How do I print profit and loss? points at Profit and loss. Profit this month answers from the books. See Ask the books.
If chat is not sure
- Read the short question it asks.
- Reply with one chip name: Sales invoice, Customer receipt, Record an expense, Journal.
- If the sentence was random letters or only help me / transaction, name the job again. Chat will not pick a document type for you.
- When a how-to is not in the manual, chat says it is not covered and tells you to use the full manual or contact KinraSoft support. It does not invent a menu path, a button, or a field name. See Menu map and Support and version.
- A pure accounting question (what is accrual, under MFRS) can get a short explanation. That reply is not a KinraSoft procedure and it does not post a journal.
Which sentence does which
- A sales invoice saved — type Bill a customer. Avoid How do I use the sales screen?
- Steps for bank reconciliation — type How do I reconcile the bank? The matching grid stays on the Bank reconciliation screen.
- This month’s profit in the reply — type Profit this month. Avoid Generate P&L / print profit and loss. That is the Profit and loss report.
- e-Invoice rules — type How do I… or what is the deadline. Avoid Submit e-Invoice if you only wanted to read.
- e-Invoice sent — type Submit e-Invoice. Avoid How to submit if you wanted the wizard to open.
- Do not send a how-to question when you want a document posted. Cancel if a wizard opened and you only wanted the guide.
If something goes wrong
- Steps on screen, no form. You asked a how-to. Send the chip phrase with no “how to”, unless you were trying to create or post — then say Bill a customer or Create company plainly.
- A form opened and you wanted a tutorial. Cancel / NO. Ask again with how do I.
- This specific procedure or feature is not covered… Use the side menu for that job, or contact KinraSoft support. Do not assume the button exists. See Menu map and Support and version.
- It answered with accounting theory. You asked what is / explain. To post, name the document: Record payroll, Journal entry.
- Generate P&L did not show this month’s chat figure. That phrase is a report. Open Financial Report, then Profit and loss, or ask Profit this month.
- The wizard used the wrong company. Switch Company and start again. The how-to text is the same in every company; the posting is not.
